E-mail me In the very first month of "E-di-tor-ial", I realized that the sole aim of
journalism should be service.The newspaper press is a great power,but just
as an unchained torrent of water submerges whole countrysides and ruins
crops even so an uncontrolled pen serves but to destroy.If the control is from
without,it proves more poisonous than want of control.It can be profitable
only when exercised from within.
I never resorted the untruth in my profession, and ...a large part of my
legal practice was in the interest of public work,for which I charged nothing
beyond out-of-pocket expenses and these too I sometimes met myself.As a
student I had heard that the liar's profession.But this did not influence me,as
I had no intention of earning either position or money by lying....
